August Update

Thank you to everyone who has continued to send me updates on their F&F Postcards since my last post.  I owe a backlog of ‘thank you’ postcards & zines and am struggling to catch up.

Sadly, I think it is time to admit defeat and bring this project to a close.  Again, thank you to all who have taken part.  It was fun! 🙂

July Update

Apologies for recent lack of updates to the blog. Although some update pics have been received, I am currently struggling to make time for regular posting around other commitments.  Hopefully normal service will resume in the near future.  Please bear with me!

May Summary

In May 2014:

• 5 Friends & Faux Postcards were sent out (from an overall total of 110), travelling to the Netherlands, and USA.

• 8 Travelogs were posted (including story-so-far photos)…

• …including 2 more homers: F&F #4 and F&F #25…

• …and @TangleCrafts on Twitter has been featuring a daily Artistamp of the Day, from the Friends & Faux archive – this will be ongoing for a while longer.

I’m afraid the admin of keeping on top of all the all the updates has been escaping me a little lately, so I’m currently working on ways to streamline the process. Please bear with me if you send in an update – I will get back to you!

April Summary

(Oops, I was away over the last week & nearly forgot the new-month update!  Slightly belated, here it is:)

In April 2014:

• 29 Friends & Faux Postcards were sent out (from an overall total of 105), travelling within the UK as well as to Australia, Canada, France, and USA.  This was a bumper month due to the number of homers received during March enabling me to complete a bumper sized ‘mini’ zine, which was then sent out to contributors, along with a new Postcard.  (All contributors who provided a useable photo-update should have received a copy, so please let me know if you have not had yours!) Apologies that I have not yet managed to make the zine available through the F&F store – it’s still on my to-do list, and will honestly get there soon(ish…)!

• 9 Travelogs were posted (including story-so-far photos)…

• …but 0 homers this time…  I think we have a couple in circulation that are reaching completion, though, so fingers crossed May will see a couple more arrive home…

March Summary

In March 2014:

• 6 Friends & Faux Postcards were sent out (from an overall total of 80), travelling to the USA & Canada

• 3 Postcards were allocated to the last ever Lucky Draw winners

• 1 Travelog was posted (including story-so-far photo)…

• …and an unprecedented 4 homers arrived back at F&F Central!

• The first F&F zine of Version 2 has been completed & will be available from the F&F store within the next few weeks.  Everyone who has submitted a pic used in a Travelog post (using the tracking form linked below) will receive a complementary copy, to be despatched during the course of April.  Thank you to everyone who is helping to make this project a success! 🙂

February Summary

In February 2014:

• 4 Friends & Faux Postcards were sent out (from an overall total of 69)

• They have travelled to the USA or within the UK

• 0 Postcards have been allocated to winners of the Lucky Draw as no entries were received throughout February!  Enter now, as the Lucky Draw will be closing at end of March 2014!

• 15 Travelogs have been posted (including story-so-far photos) with updates on 7 different Postcards – a well-travelled month!

• UPDATE: When you submit a Travelog with photo, you may now choose to receive a new Friends & Faux Postcard, instead of waiting for a project mini zine.  The choice is yours – please specify on the newly revised Tracking Form.

January Summary

In January 2014:

• 9 Friends & Faux Postcards were sent out (from an overall total of 66)

• They have travelled to 4 different countries – Canada, France, USA & within the UK

• 0 Postcards have been allocated to winners of the Lucky Draw as no entries were received throughout January!

• 5 Travelogs have been posted (including story-so-far photos)

• More updates to follow!  The beginning of Feb has seen a little influx of activity which I will be catching up on over the next couple of days…

In December 2013:

• 3 Friends & Faux Postcards were sent out (from an overall total of 56) – including one to replace FF#40, currently MIA

• They have travelled to 2 different countries – Australia & USA

• 3 Postcards have been allocated to December winners of the Lucky Draw and will be sent out within the next 7 days – this month winners were from the USA, Canada and France

• 10 Travelogs have been posted (including story-so-far photos)

• 1 more Postcard has arrived home! F&F #3 – which postcard will return home next…?

November Summary

In November 2013:

• 13 Friends & Faux Postcards were sent out (from an overall total of 53)

• They have travelled to 3 different countries – Australia, UK, & USA

• 4 Postcards have since been sent out to November winners of the Lucky Draw – this month all were from the USA

• 6 Travelogs have been posted (including story-so-far photos)

• 1 Postcard has arrived home! F&F #10

October Summary

This month:

• 3 Postcards were sent out to October winners of the Lucky Draw (but not until November).  Please do enter the Lucky Draw!  There were only 3 entries in October so everybody won; therefore if you enter the draw, the odds of you winning & receiving a free project Postcard are fairly high! 😉

• 2 new Travelogs have been posted (including story-so-far photos)

• Due to October being a busy month for me, there has been less F&F activity than previously; but November has already seen an uplift – look out for these stats & more in next month’s summary!
